Connected Named Twice in AMI Awards National Finalist List

We’re proud to have been named a national finalist in two categories in the 2024 AMI Marketing Excellence Awards.

The Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) announced the 2024 finalists this month, recognising the most innovative campaigns that have redefined marketing boundaries.

AMI stated that this year’s finalists have “demonstrated exceptional creativity, strategic insight, and an in-depth understanding of their audience’s needs. From cutting-edge digital approaches to powerful social initiatives, their work has profoundly impacted their industries and beyond.”

Connected Media’s work with Canon for the ‘Turn Up Your Travels’ campaign has been shortlisted in the ‘Product or Service to Launch or Relaunch’ category. The campaign successfully positioned the EOS R50 as the ultimate travel companion in a market dominated by smartphones. The EOS R50 skyrocketed to number 1 in its category.

Natalie Le Coic, Senior Manager - Marketing Communications, Canon Oceania commented, "It’s fantastic to be recognised as an AMI awards finalist for our collaborative work with Connected Media on the 'Turn Up Your Travels' campaign. By strategically positioning the EOS R50 as the ultimate travel companion, we effectively broke through a smartphone-dominated market. Our focus on travel as a key purchase driver, combined with tapping into creator trends, allowed us to deliver tailored, impactful creative that resonated with our audience. Continuous testing and optimisation throughout the campaign ensured maximum engagement and success."

Connected Media’s work with the Australasian College of Health & Wellness (ACHW) has been recognised in the ‘Small Budget Marketing’ category. The Dermal Therapy Scholarship campaign aimed to disrupt the commoditised beauty therapy education market by offering nurses a new career pathway. The campaign combined empathetic career transition opportunities with strategic marketing, leading to outstanding results.

Sevag Sarkissian from the Australian Institute of Management praised the campaign, stating, "Working with Connected has been a game-changer for us at ACHW. Together, we've dug deep into the data, spotted trends no one else saw, and turned them into action. Launching the Dermal Therapy Scholarship was just the start. We've gotten creative, shaken things up, and the results? They speak for themselves!"

We are thrilled to see our team's hard work and dedication recognised. We are proud of the incredible partnerships we've built and the outstanding work we deliver together.

Category winners will be announced in October at the AMI Marketing Excellence Awards Gala in Melbourne.
